The opening of Disneyland in Anaheim, California!

Now, I am very glad that July 17th, 1955 came. Disneyland truly is a "source of joy and inspiration to all the world"

FYI, That same year that Disneyland opened, in 1955, my dad was 10 years old. He and his parents were sitting on a bench taking a little rest when guess who sat right next to him? Walt Disney himself!! He asked my dad how he liked Disneyland. Too bad he doesn't have a picture to prove it, but it really did happen.
